Gravel spec or Bumpy Irish Tarmac Tension Strut kit for the Mk1 and Mk2 Escort.
As used in the Works Ford Cars in the late 1970's and early 1980's.
Tension Strut kits allow the adjustment of Castor and Camber when used in conjunction with adjustable Track control arms.
A Castor angle setting of +3.0 to +3.3 degrees is usually sufficient on Rally Cars but can be increased if using Power Steering.
The kit uses double cranked Tension bars which allows for extra clearance when using the long type Bilstein inserts as in either Gravel type or Bumpy Irish Tarmac type.
GRP4 Fabrications Gravel bars are manufactured from High Tensile steel and uniquely Heat treated to make them extra strong.
The Body brackets have been specially manufactured for, and tested in Tough Safari Marathon events which make them the strongest on the market.
